Terms
The short version: you launch coins from your own wallet, a claim is a link inside SpacePad, every coin's creator fees are split on chain (80% to you, 20% to buy back and burn $SPACE), and memecoins are risky.
What SpacePad does
SpacePad builds Pump.fun transactions for you to sign in your own wallet. We never hold your keys, your SOL or your coins, and every transaction is shown in your wallet before you approve it. Browsing the site never needs a wallet.
Claims and vamp races
A claim links a celestial body to a verified coin inside SpacePad. It isn't ownership of any real celestial body, and it gives no rights to any planet, moon, star or other object, or to its name.
- An open world is claimed by the first new coin launched for it from its page and verified on chain.
- Signing a launch request reserves an open world for 10 minutes. Signing is free and moves nothing.
- Anyone can vamp a claimed world by launching a rival coin for it. The first vamp starts a 24-hour race; later vamps join it without extending it.
- A race is won by the entrant with the highest average market cap in USD over the final hour, read about once a minute. A coin that joins late counts as zero for every minute before it joined. Ties go to the current holder.
- Market caps come from each coin's Pump.fun bonding curve on Solana, or from Jupiter after a coin graduates. A minute in which no price could be read is left out of every entrant's average. A coin whose own price can't be read in a minute keeps its last reading from that race's scoring window, or counts as zero if it has none. Readings are taken by an automated job, and we don't guarantee that every minute is read.
- If no minute of a race could be read at all, the race is decided by the market caps read when it's settled. A coin whose price still can't be read after a wait (up to 15 minutes, or up to 6 hours while a price source is down) then counts as zero.
Creator fees
Every coin launched through SpacePad sets its Pump.fun creator-fee split on chain at launch: 80% to the wallet that launched it and 20% to the SpacePad treasury. Pump.fun allows a split to be set only once, so it's permanent: neither you nor SpacePad can change it later. A coin is only linked to a world once its split is verified on chain.
- Payouts on Pump.fun can be triggered by anyone and always pay every shareholder its share. SpacePad's automation checks about every 5 minutes and pays out coins with enough unclaimed fees waiting, which also sends the launcher's share to the launcher's wallet. SpacePad pays the network fee for those payouts.
- You can claim on Pump.fun at any time. We don't guarantee when or whether automated payouts run; small amounts can wait until they're worth a payout. Unclaimed fees stay in the coin's fee vault on chain until someone claims them.
Treasury, buybacks and burns
The treasury is a dedicated Solana wallet used only for this. An automated job on SpacePad's server signs its transactions, which means its key is kept on the server (a "hot wallet"). About every 5 minutes the job:
- pays out creator fees as described above;
- spends the treasury's share of the fees those payouts brought in (plus, at launch, a small one-time seed from its own funding) on $SPACE, on Pump.fun or through Jupiter. Other SOL in the treasury, such as its funding or a share paid out when a creator claims on Pump.fun themselves, only pays network fees. When there are no fees to spend, or too little to be worth a buy, nothing is bought;
- burns every $SPACE it bought, which removes those tokens from the supply permanently.
Every payout, buy and burn is a public Solana transaction, and the totals are shown on How it works. Buybacks are not a promise of price support, returns or any value for $SPACE or any other coin. Their size depends on trading volume, and they can be delayed, paused or stopped, for example when a transaction fails, a price source is unavailable or something looks unsafe. A hot wallet can also be lost to a server compromise or a bug; the treasury holds its balance for network fees, what's waiting for the next run and any fee shares left out of the buyback. Holding $SPACE gives no rights to SpacePad's treasury, fees or decisions.
Automated posts on X
SpacePad's X account posts automated updates about burns, claims and races. They're for information only: not financial advice, not an endorsement of any coin named in them, and not a promise of any price. They can be late or miss an event; the public Solana transactions are the record.
Costs
Launching through SpacePad has no creation fee and no claim fee. Your wallet pays Solana network fees (about 0.01 SOL) and any initial buy you choose. Your wallet shows the exact total before you approve. SpacePad's only share is the 20% of creator fees described above.
Risk
Memecoins are extremely volatile and can lose all of their value. Launching a coin is permanent on Solana and can't be undone. Losing a race doesn't affect a coin on Pump.fun, and holding a world doesn't give a coin any value. Buybacks and burns don't make $SPACE or any coin a safe investment. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
Content
Only use images you have the right to use. Don't impersonate real people or organisations, or use other people's characters or logos. We may hide coins with content that is illegal, hateful or sexual.
Independence
SpacePad is independent and not affiliated with Pump.fun, Solana, any space agency or any astronomical body that names celestial objects. World names are used only to describe them.
Changes
These terms may change as the site changes. The version on this page is the one that applies.
